Alleged gunman 17-year-old T J Lane appeared in Geauga County juvenile court today.

Lane told investigators that he chose his victims randomly and admitted to firing 10 shots.  He will be held for at least the next 15 days and prosecutors have until March 1 to charge him.

There have so far been 3 fatalities: Demetrius Hewlin, Russel King Jr (17), and Daniel Parmertor (16).  There are also a further 2 teens currently in critical condition.

Lane has been described as an “outcast” by fellow students and would post disturbing Facebook and Twitter statuses.  Lane did not even attend Chardon High School where the shooting took place, he was a student at Lake Academy, a school for “at risk students” 16 miles away  from Chardon High School.
